On the Empire’s frontier, driven by steam gears and condensation runes, the Iron Creed of the Inquisition is the only law. Renard is the last of the “Martyr”-class Inquisitors—this legendary armor is not merely a weapon, but a living relic that pays homage to the bloodline of the original Purifiers.
The armor itself tells a story: the double-headed eagle on the pauldrons gazes upon the material world and the realm beyond; the magnetic eagle emblem on the chest can ignite a cold fire in the darkness, a faint glow from the heart furnace of the first Lord Inquisitor. The alloy plates are forged by a lost art, and the thousand copper nails at the joints are inscribed like scriptures with the creed: “Sacrifice is Purification.”
He carries the greatsword “Judgment” and the warhammer “Return to Silence,” for purification and ending, respectively. The beast head at his waist is not a trophy but a mechanical reliquary—sealed within it is the consciousness crystal of his mentor, constantly whispering forgotten commandments.
When the gears of the old Empire ground to a halt and heretical mechanist cults began worshipping the God of Rust, Renard awoke from his century-long slumber. The armor’s hydraulic systems hissed, expelling condensed fluid accumulated over a hundred years, and the eagle emblem on his chest lit up in the darkness for the first time.
The moment he stepped out of the Reliquary Vault, it was not for conquest, but to fulfill the final clause of the Iron Creed: “When civilization itself begins to rust, the Martyr shall become the living flame that reboots the world.”
